Rest

Papaw has signed a DNR. He is ready to go home. He is getting weaker and they do not think he can regain strength. They turned off his defibrillator yesterday. So now we wait until God is ready to take him home. We sat with him for a little while last night. He told Tess & Mandy that he was ready to be with Gettys & Sis. They were waiting on him. He told us he was glad AL won that football game:) He told us he was tired. Please pray for Papaw to find rest.

Praying for you and your family Meg. I know how hard this can be.

Praying for you and for him. It amazes me when people know "when" the time has come and know that they want to go home. How comforting that is to people like me to know that Heaven is such a place that others are ready to go there. Hugs, prayers, and much love goes to your family.

I will pray for ya'll for sure.

My pappaw got the same way, but it was a small comfort when the time did come knowing that he was ready.

You are in my prayers.

It is never easy :(

everything I have typed, I erased as nothing seems sufficient in all that is going through my heart and mind. We trust in the promises He has made. Knowing God is love and he will take care of our sweet Ed. We lift all of you up in prayer. xxoo Annette

Jeremiah says that God knew us before He formed us in the womb ... and I interpret that to mean our spirit is eternal, therefore we existed in heaven before we were clothed in our earthly body and placed in the womb. We exist in our earthly body for a few years ... and when the time comes, the "tent" returns to dust and the spirit of a Christian returns to the presence of the Lord ... and the nonChristian's spirit goes to a lake of fire in hell. To me, death represents the time that one's spirit is translated back to its spiritual form for the remainder of eternity. I don't remember what my life was like before I came to live on earth ... so I assume I won't remember what life was like on earth when I return to heaven. Translation sometimes happens quickly ... and sometimes more slowly ... but the process for a Christian is that of returning home, but this time to a mansion that He has prepared. PawPaw is homesick for his eternal home ... and knows he has nothing to fear in being translated to heaven.
