Thankful for the power of prayer!

Ok....I need everyone who reads this to crank up the prayer! I have 2 thins Thanksgiving morning! My sweet lil niece Lucy has hip dysplasia. She has been wearing a brace for a month now. They realized yesterday the brace is not working. Now she has to have surgery on Thursday. She will be in a cast waist down for 3-4 months. She will mostly have to lay on her back all the time. We did see some pictures of a few babies in a bouncy seat & a stroller...so hopefully her cast will allow her to lie in one of those. The cast will be changed every 3 weeks....but she has to be put to sleep every time. Please start praying for Brooke, Josh, & Lucy! Prayer for 3 months to go by quickly.
Pray that Lucy will not get irritated from the cast. Pray specifically for her lil skin. Sometimes they get sores from the cast...pray she won't. Pray for Debbie who will keep her when Brooke has to goes back to work. And pray that his will permanently fix her hip so that she doesn't have to go through any of this again.
We know God has big palns for this little miracle & we know he wil heal her hip! Thanks for praying!

Now...I have a little boy in my room. He has a disease caled perthes disease. He has battled it with physical therapy and they recently learned something has happened & his progress has regressed. He will be having surgery on Monday to correct his hip. He will be in a cast & special wheel chair for 3 weeks. Pray for the surgery to be successful. Pray for his family. Pray for him emotionally.....how many 5 year olds do you know that sit still all day? Pray for him to not feel embarassed to be seen in his cast & wheel chair. He is such a precious boy & I know God will take care of him to...so please say a special prayer for Brayden.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!!

Head injury

Well, Cole was ina lil accident at daycare Friday. He got a nasty bump on his head & when I called B'ham peds...they wanted me to take all precautions because although the knot did pop out...it was not hard. I had never heard this...so all you Mommas listen up! The bump needs to pop out & it needs to be hard. If it is squishy as Cole's was ....it could be another problem...PTL- Cole was fine. We had to wake him every 2 hours during the night & we saw the doc Sat at 8:00. He said it was just a tissue flesh wound but he is glad we took all precautions.
He was a little more whiney as usually & had to have Ernie, & daddy's hat on the way to the doc. He is so funny.

Lucy's Day

Last Sunday, we celebrated Lucy's baby dedication at Hardin's Chapel in Ragland. It was very sweet. Cole was not very good...too loud in big church, but it was a sweet day. We spent the afternoon at Brooke's house with so many people I cannot begin to count. We ate until we were so full we were sick & then just sat around & enjoyed the afternoon. Lucy is going to be loved by more people than you can imagine. She is so precious & we just adore her!

Disney on Ice & updates

Well..November has been quite busy! We have had a lot going on so I am sorry for no updates. I have been busty taking pictures for people & really enjoying the side job. We went to Disney on Ice the first weekend of the month & Cole LOVED it! He was in awe almost the whole show! We had a great time. Today we celebrated at Lucy's baby dedication at Hardin's Chapel in Ragland. It was so sweet & afterward we ate with the largest crowd imaginable at Brooke & Josh's house...but God fed the multitude & we are so stuffed we probably won't eat dinner. It was good to celebrate with so many people. Next weekend we are going to Leslee & Paul's wedding & looking forward to it! & then its Thanksgiving...can you believe how fast time is flying by?
Ok...those who read this..I have a few prayer concerns...please pray for my Mamaw...she is still recovering slowly & is having a hard time regaining strength. Also, praise the Lord for a friend at church. After years of trying she had 2 twin boys on Friday..healthy & precious! God is so good!
Also please pray for megan Poe & her family. She lost her grandmother this weekend.
Aslo, I don't know if I mentioned it...but baby Lucy has hip displasia...she has to wear a brace to correct it. Please pray for healing soon so she can get out of that brace:) I do think it hurts us more than her though:).
Me & Cole pray every night & we are continuing to thank God for our jobs as a family & we pray for those who don't have jobs right now. I am extremely blessed to have a job that i love & love going to work with some awesome people!
We have so much to be thankful for....we are so blessed!

Happy Halloween!

We had a fun time yesterday! Cole ate candy for breakfast, lunch, & dinner....he really likes Halloween! To begin the day Courtney & Shelby came by for a quick visit:) Shelby is such a doll! Then...Grandma Kitty started his treats around noon when she droppped off a surprise for him...then we started the day at Brooke's house for lunch with all the family. We had yummy halloween food ( mummy dogs & spider cake etc...) & the kids played. They had a good time. Then we started our route which we kept small this year b/c Cole is "Mr. Wheezy" this weekend. We stopped at my grandparents & then to several friends & family. He really started getting the hang of hey ....put candy in my bag:)
I know there are a lot of different beliefs on Halloween...but we celebrate it innocently & I love to see all these cute babies dressed up each year. Make-believe is so much fun!
