Rodeo Time...

St. Clair County High School is hosting the Rodeo again this June 4th and 5th! We had a blast last year! This is their big fundraiser to help those boys eventually get a football stadium at their school! They really deserve it! We definitely want Cole to play in it one day so we are big supporters of the Rodeo! The tickets are $12 adult $10 child on presale & $14 and $12 at the gate. Please come out for a GREAT time with your family & it also helps support our football players...cheerleaders...and band members! Our babies will be out there before we know it:)
Come and join the fun!!! I promise it'll be worth it...now and in the future!

Ashton's graduation

Well my niece Ashton graduated preschool!
I can't believe it! The program was just precious & she did a great job! We are so proud of her!
She is so smart & is SO ready for BIG school! She is going to do great! It is bittersweet though. She was our first baby. It seems like only yesterday she was toddling around and now she is smart & sassy & as girly as it gets! We blinked and she grew up.... but I know there are so many more fun things to look forward to! She is very special to us and we are so blessed to have her in our lives!

Mother's Day pictures....

So here are a few pitures to go along with Mother's Day. I got beautiful roses from Cole:) I had the photo jewelry made...and Blayne watched Cole all day Saturday to let me get a pedicure & get my hair done &even a little shopping! Way to go Daddy! I can't complain really...he keeps him whenever i need him to & never complains. They play good together:)
I better enjoy my time b/c I have a feeling he is going to be all about Daddy the older he gets:)
Anyway..we ate with both familes and had a great weekend! Its great to be a mommy!

Being a mommy....

Today we are celebrated for everything we do...but honestly.....I would be lost without those so many things to do! I know we are tired and exhausted and over worked as mothers...but I am so thankful for that job! Cole has made my life so wonderful. He has made me a better teacher & in general a better person. I cannot remember what we did without him and i feel so incredibly blessed that God chose me to be his mommy and I am working hard to do a good job and leave a legacy in his life for him to carry on after God calls me home from this life. I know I make mistakes and I pray that those do not remain permanent ones..ya know? I pray that I do a good job as him mom and that he can learn about Jesus and his purpose through good examples. He is so wonderful! Blayne & him spoiled me this Mother's Day with PINK roses, a day for hair, shopping, & toes, a very sweet card, & dinner! I love both my boys!

I am also extremely blessed to have a wonderful mother who taught me to be who I am today. She taught me honesty, loyalty, trust, and love. She took me to church and I believe she is responsible for me coming to know my Savior. She taught me to be independent and to stand up for things that are right. She taught me to make wise decisions and she taught me to apologize and make things right when I didn't get those decissions right. She taught me that material things are not important in life and that less is more. She taught me to WORK for what I wanted. She taught me that some people will let you down, but that doesn't mean you g odown with them. She was and is an amazing mom & now a wonderful Nanny! I am so blessed to have her.

Happy Mother's Day to all those moms reading & for all those still trying to be a mother...HOLD ON.... they are worth the wait & God will hear your prayers!

Well....its been a few weeks. Things are in CRAZY mode at school. We are winding down. I am so ready for summer! With Margaret opening and transfers happening...tension at work is unreal....people are jaded...people are excited....emotions are all over the place....and everyone is out of control. I am ready for summer so it can all go away & we can all start fresh next year.
So...we have been spending LOTS of time outside even though my Mr. Wheezy child probably shouldn't be. He just LOVES it. He STILL doesn't watch more than 5-10 minutes of tv.I mean really where did this kid get this? Mommy & Daddy love tv! :)
We are also starting to wear big boy underwear at night & on the weekends. He still hasn't mastered & we have accidents...but I guess that is how they learn. He will tee-tee in the potty for money though! He loves to put coins in his bank. So i guess whatever works huh? Anyone wanna donate change to the cause? I hope to master it when I am home with him this summer. I figured we would just try it out until then.
I know...he has a paci in his mouth & we are potty training...look he goes all day without it & then wants it at night. Mommy likes her sleep & she likes to plug it when he gets sleepy...so we'll face that battle another time. Just throw me under the bus for that one....its ok:)
I got rocking chairs for the front porch for my birthday & he loves them. We sit & rock & he likes to sing "Rock A Bye Baby" Its sweet.
I guess that is all going on with us. We are looking forward to a great Mother's Day weekend. I can't believe 3 years ago this Sunday on Mother's Day we had an IUI and it worked & now he is in my lap begging me for juice as I type this. WOW...times flies:) Such a sweet weekend for all the mommies and a weekend that I also take the time to specifically pray for those trying and hoping to be a mommy. Please join me this weekend & pray for those struggling to have children. Its a hard weekend for them and I know they could use our prayers..

This is Amber. I have known her since she started the baby room at Bethel Wee Care. She is amazing! She has always been a princess...doesn't like change...and has her Daddy right where she wants him. But she looks and acts....just like her mother. Jessica lost her battle with cancer when Amber was in 1st grade......but she fought as long as she could. I have never met anyone like her. She was NEVER going to admit defeat and right up until the end...she still believed God could heal her.....and he did. ....just not the way we had hoped. I taught Amber in kindergarten and that year I watched Jessica's battle grow bigger and bigger....but she will always be victorious in my eyes. For several weeks, every Friday she came and taught Jr. Achievement in my classroom. It didn't matter if she vomited all night from the chemo. It didn't matter if she was so weak she had to stop several times before she could make it down the hall....every Friday no matter what she came....sat in my rocking chair and talked and read to those babies. I couldn't tell you anything she taught them about Jr. Achievement...but they learned so much more than that. They learned about cancer and chemo..because they asked. They learned that people were beautiful with or without hair...because she was....they learned that you fight! I learned it all too. Jessica DeRamus will always be amazing in my eyes....and she lives through Amber:)

the big 30!

Well, my friends and family threw me a big surprise party this weekend. We had a great time! They have been planning it for weeks & I had no idea! I cannot believe they pulled it off! It was great and I loved spending time with sweet friends & family .We are so blessed and I would be lost without my "inner circle." God has really placed some amazing people in my life and I have no idea how I got so lucky...but I am! Thanks to all you girls...you know who you are...you are all amazing! 30 was a hard one to get to....I guess it seems silly..I mean 30 is still young. But it is just a reminder that life is passing us by so quickly. I have to remember to cherish every moment. It just seems like thinngs happen when you blink your eyes. Life is too short to hate & be hated...it is too short to not love & trust with all you have...it is too short to not enjoy those sweet babies!!! I have had 30 wonderful years & my life is better than I could have ever imagined ......thanks to everyone who helped me celebrate at school.....at home....and at the party. You are all great& life doesn't get much better than this!
